My Story

As a group OWXV ,Paul, beansy , tiff, stamps, Jack, Westy, Bobby, si,jaff, rhino, Jamie an myself plus a support crew of van drivers and kayakers  will be taking on the frog whitton

 this charity has been proposed by one of the participants 

the reason :- The effect ME has had on his daughters life 

On 24 June 2023 we will be completing a challenge https://www.frogwhitton.co.uk/

 for the FORME Charity. This was set up in 1995 to raise funds for research into the use of osteopathic techniques in the treatment of M.E, also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).

ME/CFS is a clinically defined condition characterised by severe, disabling fatigue and a combination of other symptoms which are made worse by exercise. ME/CFS can affect anybody of any age, gender or ethnicity. For young people education can be severely disrupted and for many adults employment becomes impossible. Sufferers may be housebound or confined to bed for months or years.

In May 2018 this disease affected my 18 year old daughter and life changed dramatically. Fast forward to 2023 and now at 23 yrs old we have a far better quality of life for her.
This would not of happened without special people. Elaine , Raymond , sylvine, Ian, Antoinette, debs( mum) , Granny !! Also the long telephone calls with people in the same situation as our family

As an active person this was especially hard to witness but worse, to understand!
